"Something fascinated and haunts me: the thought that everything comes from what we carry inside. When I paint, I see what's inside of me. At the same time, I face what I want you to know about me and I wonder about what you can't help but know about me. This is contact and it can't be heard. It can only be felt. Every time I pick up a brush I am reminded of that and I find out I really have no choice. I have to paint. Painting keeps me honest with me."

Lisa is an abstract expressionist painter and writer who lives in Victoria, B.C.
Her work is part of corporate and private collections in Canada, the United States and China.
